My G37: I’ve decided to keep it for now, but if someone offers an interesting trade, I might take it. I installed OEM Sport model paddle shifters and they’re absolutely fantastic. Feel great, look great, work great.
Grand Prix GT: Not much to say, sadly. Passed the rebuilding inspection over a month ago, sent the paperwork in over 4 weeks ago, no title yet. Super frustrating. The DMV/BMV is no help, call wait times are long and no response to any other form of communication. I guess worst case scenario is that I file a mechanics lean on it, or maybe use the Vermont method? No real idea, but kinda pisses me off.
Not much to say, mostly just wanted to show off the paddles.

How does rebuilding work in your state? In my state, (Ohio), it goes:
1. Get an Ohio salvage title issued
2. Purchase Salvage Certificate
3. Inspect
4. Take inspection receipt to the BMV with the salvage title
5. You now have a Rebuilt title and can register the vehicle for road use.
Stuff’s slow in state and local governments, obviously. I’d keep waiting.

4 weeks would be record time for processing something like a rebuilt title in Washington. Registrations are basically instant, but titles take forever.

Get salvage title
Schedule inspection with local State Trooper headquarters
Rebuild the damage using brand new parts or parts that are verified as not stolen
Bring paperwork to rebuilding inspection
Send all paperwork including title to state
Wait forever
Get “Former Salvage” title
Get safety inspection
Register car

Weird. I wouldn’t do the VT title thing. It’ll be a future headache. Have you joined a FB group for Copart buyers?
